The year is almost ending, which means the hottest fashion show will soon be staged. We’re talking about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, of course. Following last year’s first-ever designer collaboration with Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing, the lingerie brand has announced a new partner for this year’s runway collection: designer Mary Katrantzou.
Katrantzou has been worn by numerous celebrities and A-listers, such as Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Dianna Agron, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kerry Washington. The designer is known for her whimsical prints and patterns, and has even been dubbed “Mary, Queen of Prints.”
As recently revealed via Victoria’s Secret Instagram post and stories, the collection will incorporate Katrantzou’s signature kaleidoscope-like prints on different types of garments. The post featured Josephine Skriver in a stunning yellow tropical inspired lingerie set. The Instagram stories gave a glimpse of Jasmine Tookes in floral workout gear, Yasmin Wijnaldum in a sexy pink tropical bodysuit and Alexina Graham being playful in her blue tropical jumpsuit.
“Everything that Victoria’s Secret creates is about a woman feeling confident and empowered — and also having fun with what she is wearing,” Katrantzou said in a press statement. “This collaboration is going to be bold, fun and playful.”
