Lady Gaga’s Joker Premiere Look Is a Lesson in Method Dressing

Lady Gaga channeled her inner Harley Quinn for the U.K. premiere of “Joker: Folie à Deux,” and her look is a lesson in method dressing. Gaga metamorphosized into her character with red hair, a matching but differently structured Celine gown, crystal tears, and vivid eye makeup for the red carpet. The ensemble also comprised heavy and dramatic Tiffany & Co. jewelry. The singer-actress attended the event with her fiancé, Michael Polanski.

For the U.K. premiere of “Joker: Folie à Deux” in London, Lady Gaga wore a custom-made Hedi Slimane-designed scarlet satin faille Celine gown. She included a dramatic-shouldered bolero jacket to the outfit. Gaga transfigured into her notorious character from the film, Lee Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn, as she sported a red bob that complemented her outfit.

However, her expressive eye makeup, which included a single crystal tear, stood out along with the intense teal eyeshadow blonde brows, winged eyeliner, and red lip shade. According to Page Six, makeup artist Sarah Tanno was behind the singer’s latest masterpiece.

Lady Gaga had her nails painted black for the look, which seemed quite contrasting to the other vibrant colors and validated Harley Quinn‘s dark aura. She completed the ensemble with Tiffany & Co. jewelry with a massive Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany brooch set called Bird on a Rock, comprising more than 20-carat spessartine. Additionally, the 38-year-old added a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany vine ring with two dazzling yellow diamond pieces from the brand’s 2024 Blue Book Collection.

Lady Gaga’s fiancé, Michael Polanski, also made an appearance at the premiere. Polanski wore a Celine Homme suit. Meanwhile, the “Poker Face” singer’s co-star Joaquin Phoenix, who played Arthur Fleck in the film, went for a more casual look. Phoenix was dressed in a bomber jacket, black jeans, which he combined with a white shirt and black tie, and Converse.

The Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix-starrer “Joker: Folie à Deux” will release in theaters on October 4.
