Ariana Grande Exudes Old Hollywood Glam at Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration

One thing about Ariana Grande is that she always goes above and beyond with her red carpet outfits. Since promoting her film “Wicked,” the singer-actor has experimented with various styles, colors, and trends. Recently, she joined fellow A-list celebrities for the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees Luncheon. For this occasion, she stuck to one of her staples — Old Hollywood glam. Moreover, her glam team looked into the archives to style her in a cream-colored satin dress.

Ariana Grande brings a touch of the 50s in vintage Christian Dior dress by Yves Saint Laurent

Ariana Grande has been basking in the glory of her highly successful musical, “Wicked.” While this has been a career-defining project for the star, her fashion game is also feeding off of its magic. On Tuesday, Grande joined other celebrities at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees Luncheon in Los Angeles. She earned her first Golden Globe nomination for the film adaptation of the Broadway musical. For the actor, it was a doubly special moment, given her mom, Joan Grande, also accompanied her.

Interestingly, Grande’s glam team decided to pull out all the stops to style the actor with some Old Hollywood glam. The singer wore Christian Dior’s satin midi dress designed by Yves Saint Laurent in 1959. The outfit featured a square neckline and a flowy slightly pleated skirt. The ensemble’s highlight was the belted waist, which added an ounce of fancy to the monochromatic outfit. Grande paired her vintage dress with matching pointed-toe Jimmy Choo pumps.

Ariana Grande’s longtime stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, assembled the outfit. The duo have collaborated on several showstopping outfits for “Wicked” promotions. For the past few appearances, they seemed to have put a pause on the singer’s method dressing in “Glinda-fied” pink and opted for more neutral shades. For the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees Luncheon, Grande wore minimalistic Swarovski stud earrings and rings.

Makeup artist Michael Anthony added Oly Hollywood glam to the actor’s makeup. These included defined eyebrows, long lashes, and a bright red lip. Celebrity hairstylist Alyx Liu styled the actor’s blonde hair in a high pony with a side part.

From the brightest of pinks to the warmest of color tones, Ariana Grande is picking them up one color at a time. For now, the actor remains in her magical “Wicked” bubble.
