London’s First Stand Alone Men’s Fashion Week Spring 2013 [VIDEO] (Forum Buzz)

Rather than cramming all of their menswear offerings into a single MAN Day like they’ve been doing for the last few seasons, London has planned a stand alone “Fashion Week” to show collections for men-only over a three day period – June 15 to 17. The London Collections: Men will include opening programs and a launch event hosted by Prince Charles. Fancy, right?

The young London designers who have been showing on MAN Day (lines like J.W. Anderson, James Long, Topman, and more), will be joined by several U.K. brands who have been lured back to their home turf, like Pringle of Scotland, and Nicole Farhi, who have been showing in Milan. Sharply dressed men in the Fashion Spot forums were excited by the news.

“Oh, this is just fantastic, Pringle of Scotland, Jonathan Saunders, Margaret Howell, Thom Browne… London is the place to be, now they just need to slip in Burberry Prorsum in there,” GERGIN wrote after poring over the schedule.

“I cannot ****ing believe it. Been waiting for this for ages,” thejarc exclaimed.

“Definitely something to look forward to,” pen6693 agreed.

Here’s a London Mens Collections teaser video for those of you who need something a bit more visual to get you excited:
