Luxx was actually a fan of the editorial that accompanied the cover image and saw a missed opportunity. “I may be alone in this, but for me Emayatzy Corinealdi is the best thing about the story and I would have LOVED to see her on the cover. I love Brit Marling as well, but the camera is in love with Emayatzy. Love the hair and styling on this, these images have a beautiful atmosphere,” she added.
“Why would they have a featured editorial with three actors but only put two of them on the cover?” loladonna asked, bringing to mind the recent discussion about diversity on the runways. Could the same sort of bias be at play here?
