Here’s Georgia May Jagger on the cover of Vogue UK’s February 2014 Issue, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and styled in a denim jumpsuit by Balmain. The British model previously fronted the publication in November 2009, when she was first launching her modeling career. Four years later, Jagger returns to Vogue UK as one of the world’s top models and the face of both Just Cavalli and cosmetics brand Rimmel (the latter created the makeup look for this cover).
Although this is obviously a beautiful photograph of a stunning woman, some tFS Forum members notice that the publication has essentially duplicated many of its January cover layout choices (background, color scheme and font) for the February issue.
“It looks exactly like the January cover,” said Greenway. “Same background, same font colours.”
“I mean she looks gorgeous,” continued Miss Dalloway, “but yeah, how insipid. It’s like UK Vogue can’t break out of their own standards to deliver a memorable cover. I am seriously getting over it!”
Catherine88 agreed with many of criticisms, but was still hopeful that Vogue would turn things around next month: “It’s time for fresh elements — surprising model, colors, background or fonts. Maybe they’re preparing for readers something special for the March issue?”
But not everyone’s a critic. “Not bad at all,” said TeeVanity. “Simple. I like it.”
