“Kidding me… Valerija? Happy to see her, a change from the endless new faces he uses over and over again. The cover is also quite lovely. It’s melancholic, sad but charming at the same time. And very refreshing next to the other covers this year, who were all quite dark and studio shots,” writes anlabe32.
“Is that Jamie, dear God! Love it. Of course Valerija looks stunning. I think more than anything I love the layout and the image. It looks sort of like a glimpse from a window. Didn’t think Steven would be able to top last month’s cover, but he did,” agrees Benn98.
Marc10 also shows enthusiasm: “For a sec I thought it was Jessica Miller but whoah, what a comeback for Valerija! She and Jamie look perfect for that kind of styling. I love that the picture is a mirror reflection, awesome effect.”
Also showing some love is Nepenthes who comments, “I am so pleasantly surprised! From the cast to the cover shot, everything is perfect. The whole vibe feels very early 00s Meisel imo. Can’t wait for the review, I have a feeling this is going to be a great issue!”
“I groaned when I saw the title, but I actually really like this. It’s such an unusual cover shot but I love everything about it,” adds a pleasantly surprised MyNameIs.
Yet not everyone’s so pleased. “So random. I hate when the models don’t look at the camera for a cover. Not good,” posts an unimpressed zacatecas570.
JesseDillion disapproves also: “Late with the cover and this is what we get? It looks like a supplement cover…and not even a good one.”
