Mario Testino Fails to Do Taylor Swift Justice on Vanity Fair’s September Cover (Forum Buzz)

Amazingly, forum members couldn’t hide their disapproval. “Too much whiskey bottle font!!! I wish there was more flair to her one-note styling,” criticized Aedlacir.

“I really thought Rihanna had the September cover. I don’t even like Taylor but this is an okay cover. Just wish her hair was a little more blonde,” added RanThe.

“So what issue will Rihanna be on? This is boring,” asked an uninterested SpeakThatJDunn.

Sharing the same sentiments was orchidee: “Not a flattering photo at all. I like Taylor, but she’s just been overexposed this year. I had hoped she would sort of go under the radar since she’s on tour. Definitely would have preferred Rihanna.”

KateTheGreatest wasn’t having any of it either, exclaiming, “Really really bad. Testino should retire already.”

“Yikes. Testino’s work used to have a beautiful softness to it but over the years he’s just got increasingly bad. I just can’t work out how the man that shot that beautiful, hazy, dreamy shot of Gwyneth [Paltrow] once can produce such harsh, overexposed and overworked imagery,” said a horrified honeycombchild.
