Members of our forums were overwhelmed at first. “I’m not gonna lie. I do think it’s cool and I do think that we might see this more often in the future instead of real models,” acknowledged anlabe32 straight away.

“I really hope the campaign is only by Tetsuya Nomura and there won’t be other shots with real models or celebs by Weber or Teller because it would completely ruin what could be one of the best fashion campaigns done in a very long time,” a soon-to-be-disappointed Wolkfolk chimed in.

Sharing the same outlook was TheoG: “I like the idea, these animated figures have more life and presence than the majority of the human models associated with the label so I’ll take Nomura before the others are released.”

JennaaMonroe was a fan too, declaring, “This has me excited! The concept is super eccentric and the inspiration is there! Campaigns can have a tendency to be dull but hopefully not this one! Hopes are high, the anticipation is real!”

The idea sure was a hit with kokobombon: “I’m hyperventilating! I love this so much! I’m not a LV kind of girl but this is good advertisement, makes me want to buy.”

Creative soon changed the whole dynamic, “Don’t get the excitement. This does nothing for me. Absolutely nothing.”

“It’s already boring me as well. And for the people who are praising this idea: wait for your beloved models to get replaced by animations like these,” replied anlabe32, returning to the thread.

Before we could fully digest Nomura’s images, a fresh new set of shots was released and took our forums by storm. Weber’s series was unveiled via Ghesquière’s Instagram feed, featuring models Rianne van Rompaey, Jean Campbell and Sarah Brannon joined by Jaden Smith (random, we know). The group took to the streets of NYC, with Jaden wearing a skirt (major kudos for breaking the mold).
