The campaign ultimately received mixed feedback, however. “Glad to see David Yurman is pushing ahead with the new direction, but I expect Kate will be his constant. This is a lovely shot, they should’ve switched to color years ago,” shared Benn98 with Anna’s shot being the first to surface.
“Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott really? They’ve changed their style so quickly but I like it,” chimed in madzedre, showing instant approval.
“She looks odd on the second image,” pointed out an uncertain fer19dog, just as forum members began to have a few qualms.
HeatherAnne most definitely wasn’t a fan, complaining, “The color makes this look so cheap… along with the unnecessary Photoshopping. Wretched in every way really.”
In agreement over the post-production was madzedre, returning to the thread to add: “The photos are stunning but there’s too much Photoshop on the colors.”
“Should have stayed with [Peter] Lindbergh forever. This one has no soul in it whatsoever. Looks very artificial if I may say so,” disapproved LittleRus.
Kate’s shot, however, set a different tone. “For some reason I really like Kate’s shot. Could go so far as to say it’s the best I’ve seen from her over the past 5 years,” declared a stunned Benn98.
