“Wait didn’t they break up already? Ah teen Love… so fleeting,” A.D.C. pointed out straight away.
“Is that actually Brooklyn? Weird that they didn’t show his face nor name him on the tags. It’s a weird cover but I like the cinematic feel, it looks more like a movie still,” kokobombon added.
Forum member honeycombchild replied, “It is Brooklyn, I presume he’s in the editorial also. Perhaps at the last minute they opted to change the cover from a front facing image of them both to one where Chloë takes the lead, so it looked a little less like they had missed the boat!”
“Not necessarily a fan of both, but it’s a really great cover. Teen Vogue never missing a beat. But yeah… I thought they had broken up? I guess it was too late for a plan b cover,” laughed Marc10.
In a different frame of mind was [Piece of Me], disapproving, “Teen Vogue was on an absolute roll this year, but this cover is rather disappointing. Not because of Chloë, I quite like her and she is a good fit for this magazine but it somehow doesn’t work for him. And I could do without Brooklyn as well.”
“At least you can’t see his face, so I’ll settle for that,” wrote tigerrouge.
AnaD wasn’t feeling Brooklyn’s presence, either. “He always looks bored, thank goodness I can’t see his face,” he said. “She certainly photographs from the ‘snooty pretty girl’ angle quite well. I like that she owns the look and works it.”
