Let’s face it, Harper’s Bazaar Australia is pretty much always on the money when delivering buzzy cover subjects. Bella Hadid covered August, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley starred on October and it should come as no surprise to see Hailey Baldwin for November 2016. Arguably one of the most talked about girls on the scene right now, Hailey shows off her modeling ability, wearing Louis Vuitton and reclining before the lens of photographer Darren McDonald.

Unfortunately, our forum members weren’t buying it. “Hailey Baldwin? Really Harper’s Bazaar Australia?” questioned a horrified KateTheGreatest the moment the cover surfaced.
“Okay, I see…they are really trying to make her break into high-fashion,” added a puzzled Oxymore.
Also underwhelmed by Bazaar‘s choice was narcyza. “These empty eyes and always the same face. No,” she mocked.
RanThe felt the same way, slamming, “Flat. Tired. Boring. That’s what Hailey is and the styling on this cover. NEXT!”
“If you can’t make lying down look natural, it’s time to work a little more on your modeling skills. I mean, without mastering the basics, how are you ever going to meet the challenge of jumping in the air ten times in a row for a Vogue editorial?” questioned a far from impressed tigerrogue.
“I think the way the dress fits around her as she’s lying down makes her pose look rather stiff and out of balance. Hailey also looks a little more on the sleepy side rather than sultry for me,” laughed sweetpop.
However, not everyone felt so let down. “I can’t believe that I like this. I just really like the angled downwards shot with the wooden headboard and micro suede/suede looking couch. The dress is edgy enough to add more interest and Hailey is doing a decent job lounging and staring at the camera — yeah her eyes are a bit dead but the vibe of the cover lends itself to that,” confessed DelicateFlower.
