This has been an outstanding year for Kendall Jenner. She’s covered numerous editions of Vogue within a short span of time and starred in campaigns for the likes of Fendi and Marc Jacobs. So it should come as no surprise that Kendall’s success is carrying into 2017 as she’s unveiled as the face of La Perla for Spring 2017, alongside fellow models Isabeli Fontana and Liu Wen. As well as switching up the casting this season, La Perla also replaced Mert and Marcus with Steven Klein to lens the eye-catching and dynamic new campaign.

Yet the majority of our forums weren’t too fond of all the changes. “Isabeli and Liu look great! However, the first girl looks bored and completely out of place. Who is she?” asked a sarcastic GivenchyHomme the moment the campaign dropped.
“What have they done to Liu’s face?” questioned a horrified jeffandtheworld.
Also quick to acknowledge some very evident post-production was kewkaw, declaring, “Over-retouched!”
Emmanuelle shared the same sentiments. “Nice to renew the concept, but the makeup and retouching is awful,” she pointed out.
“It is for the second time when they Photoshop Isabeli in a way that she no longer looks like herself. I mean the second picture in particular. This face is so gorgeous, why change it?” stated a disapproving KissMiss.
“I don´t like it, it looks so tacky and cheap. It makes me think of something Philipp Plein would do,” mocked kokobombon.
Yet not everyone was disappointed. “Definitely a departure from their recent campaigns…still the girls look great!” Zposen complimented.
“This actually looks interesting, based on the last few M&M campaigns. Liu Wen steals the show here, Isabeli looks her usual sultry self but that’s simply not enough for me,” said Benn98.
