Today, the fashion industry mourns the passing of 66-year-old Franca Sozzani, long-serving editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia. Sozzani died in Milan after a year-long illness. A true visionary and innovator, Sozzani began her role at the Italian fashion bible in 1988 and leaves behind a legacy of powerful, revolutionary and thought-provoking content for the magazine. Having collaborated with the likes of Steven Meisel, Bruce Weber and Peter Lindbergh (to name only a few) throughout her 28 years at the helm, Sozzani championed numerous social causes while captivating a loyal audience.
