Our forums barely recognized Cameron Russell on the cover of Vogue Germany last month, but thankfully its cover girl for February 2017 is far more identifiable. With no signs of over-styling, harsh makeup or bizarre headgear, Toni Garrn makes a return to the cover of her native Vogue. Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura, Toni wears a minimal amount of makeup, her hair scrapped back and models one of this season’s most coveted Balenciaga looks in the full-length cover image.

The cover left our forum members divided in their opinion. “I like that Balenciaga but the G in her hand is so, so awful. This is not a children’s magazine,” snarled anlabe32 the moment the cover dropped.
“I love this cover, even the G in her hands. Could have done with a little less text though,” added sore.
Echoing the same sentiments was Srdjan: “Toni is gorgeous and I love the colors! Yes, less text would’ve been nice, but never mind.”
Gazebo was quick to show the cover some love, raving, “I love everything about this cover: The color combination just makes me feel good, they made this Balenciaga look fabulous, The G is silly but fun, The pose and composition are fierce and although Toni is not a strong model, her classic beauty works well with the more edgy feel of the cover.”
Not everyone was impressed, though. “Nothing about this cover works!” screamed Miss Dalloway in disagreement.
“Toni should learn how to model first before getting a cover like that. It’s a mess! From the styling, to the layout, the colors, her expression and her posing. BAD ALL AROUND! Next!,” Bertrando3 declared in horror.
Nymphaea agreed: “That outfit is already old and Toni brings nothing extra to the table, boring cover.”
