Everyone seems to be obsessed with Paris Jackson right now. Carine Roitfeld featured her on the cover of CR Fashion Book, as did US Harper’s Bazaar, and last week it was announced that the 19-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson landed a multimillion-dollar deal with Calvin Klein. Paris now takes to the cover of Teen Vogue‘s music issue for Volume 2 of its recent redesign, photographed by Hedi Slimane.

Members of our forums weren’t impressed. “This kid is everywhere,” complained a disinterested HodanChloe.
“Despite her age… does Paris really appeal to a teen audience? The interest in her ties with her father and the majority of his fans I would fathom are a lot older than Teen Vogue‘s demographic,” wrote A.D.C.
“You’d think so but who knows these days,” replied RedSmokeRise. “So she’s basically going to follow in Lily Rose Depp’s footsteps now? I wish Hedi would move on from photographing the rich spawn of celebrities.”
MON wasn’t rushing to the newsstand either, writing, “This is why they don’t sell. This is not inviting at all. Another issue geared toward the wrong interpretation of what the ‘youth’ is. And the size is just annoying as hell. I saw the print version, and seriously had a laugh. They should just seriously fold. This ‘Volume’ edition ruins the memory of what Teen Vogue was once before.”
Forum member 333101 pointed out, “The ‘music’ issue… with someone on the cover that is not a musician!”
“I’m not opposed to Teen Vogue‘s theme concept, but why Paris? It’s like 333101 just said, she’s not even a musician. And she just had two major covers. Very bad move on their behalf,” agreed Benn98.
