Gigi Hadid Shows Off a Dramatic New Look in Stuart Weitzman’s Fall 2017 Campaign

There are no signs of Stuart Weitzman ever changing his obviously winning campaign formula, as he welcomes back Gigi Hadid for her fourth consecutive season. First, there was Natalia Vodianova, then came Kate Moss, followed by Gisele Bündchen, who was ultimately replaced by Gigi. Also making a return for Fall 2017 is famed photographer Mario Testino, who helps showcase Gigi’s pixie-cut wig (and the high-end shoe designer’s new collection, of course) in the black and white campaign images.

Gigi’s new look, however, fell flat with our horrified forum members. “Great from the shoulders down, but that cropped hairdo isn’t working, she looks like Ellen DeGeneres,” exclaimed Nymphaea straight away.

“Yes! It looks really funny, I just can’t take this seriously,” replied a less than impressed dodencebt.

“LOL look at that! New low for her I guess,” wrote a stunned Conbothsides.

Miss Dalloway wasn’t into it either, saying, “Tragic is the word!”

“Why do they have to make her wear the wig or they think it will amp up the campaign a notch and doesn’t look like the old campaigns? Gigi actually looks OK but this kind of hair doesn’t suit her at all,” disapproved TaylorBinque.

Echoing the same sentiments was vogue28, saying, “I’ve always defended the Stuart Weitzman campaign aesthetic but this just isn’t working for me – due to that atrocious wig Gigi was unfortunately made to wear this season. She really doesn’t suit short hair whatsoever. Terrible!”

“Beautiful! However, I can’t help but focus on that horrible wig… Niall Horan? Is that you? Miley Cyrus? Justin Bieber” quizzed a humorous Armani.
