Bella Hadid makes history this month by appearing on a record number of Vogue covers — five to be exact (and counting) — and the only model ever to do so, beating the likes of Linda Evangelista and Gisele Bündchen. Fresh from the cover of Vogue Australia, Bella’s latest conquest is the September 2017 edition of Vogue Brazil. Following in sister Gigi’s footsteps by appearing on the Brazilian fashion bible, the current face of Giuzeppe Zanotti delivers a total of three unique covers, shot by Gui Paganini. Next stop: world domination!

The majority of our hard-to-please forum members were pleasantly surprised. “Very strong Carla Bruni vibes, especially the second cover! This is my favorite of all her September Vogue covers,” favored magsaddict.
“I love all the images. Love the vintage vibe and I agree with the Carla Bruni connection,” added kokobombon.
“Wow. Bella came to slay. She has totally dominated September Vogue. It’s crazy that she’s got the record now. Like her or not, it’s quite an achievement. Congratulations! I think these might be my favorite of all the covers. She looks truly gorgeous in those shots and it’s nice to see a different expression from her,” admired happycanadian.
Also showing the covers some love was badgalcrush: “I might be the only one but I like the first cover, for once we see a new side of Bella. I see some vintage Jean Paul Goude vibes with that facial expression and quite like it. This girl is here to stay apparently!”

The trio of covers didn’t appeal to everyone’s tastes, however. “The light and the saturation are awful, and she looks boring… as always,” ranted forum member thatsfierce.
“I like Bella but there’s something about her that is really odd. It may be the fact that her beauty is artificial. Overall these covers are good but with another model, someone more effortlessly beautiful, they would’ve been amazing and probably the best Vogue September issue. That said, the third one is my favorite but there’s still something missing,” quipped an underwhelmed pivoslyakova.
Maxlinden echoed the sentiments, writing, “Love the retro feel. She isn’t pulling off the styling, hair, and makeup very well. A great concept wasted on a poor model.”
