It seems that Glamour has finally heard our complaints and ditched the messy graffiti-style cover font as the magazine unveils its latest offering for April 2018. Amidst some major staff changes and presumably with a small interim team until Samantha Barry takes control, Glamour plays it safe with cover girls Camila Cabello, Elle Fanning and Aja Naomi King. Photographed by Olivia Malone, the girls huddle together in the welcoming and fresh cover shot.
The cover generated a whole lot of mixed feelings amongst our forum members. “It has the feel of an old Allure… and it’s nice to see actual normal grown-up text on the cover, instead of that pseudo-handwritten scrawl they’ve been overusing for the past while,” said tigerrouge.
MON agreed, saying, “Allure? Even the layout screams Allure. You have three gorgeous women and you get this? Camila looks sleepy. Did she come from a show? They should’ve chosen a smiling shot of Elle. Her laugh is out of place here but it’s a beautiful shot of her.”

“Not the best shot, but it’s much better than what they’ve done over the past few months. Aja looks stunning, but Elle’s face looks very puffy. Odd, considering it’s a beauty-themed cover,” noted Benn98.
Srdjan definitely wasn’t here for it. “Unbelievable how all American editions went downhill recently, from Glamour and Cosmo to Vogue and InStyle,” he pointed out.
“This is the worst cover that they produced in years. Everyone can say that the old art direction is too juvenile, but it was unique, the images were cool. Now looks like an old magazine, this type of direction is the worst,” ranted caioherrero.
