Alberta Ferretti likes to keep us guessing when it comes to its advertising campaigns, never settling for a tried and tested formula. The Italian fashion label brought on photographer Steven Meisel for the Spring 2017 campaign, Tim Walker for Fall 2017 and Mario Sorrenti for Spring 2018. This season, it’s David Sims capturing the brand’s Fall 2018 campaign in his London studio with Vogue Paris fashion director Aleksandra Woroniecka on styling duties (replacing Carine Roitfeld). Gone is last season’s cast too, in favor of models Edie Campbell and Liya Kebede, starring in the dark and moody series of images.
Members of our forums were quick to sound off on the campaign. “Not surprised it looks so Vogue Paris since Aleksandra Woroniecka is fashion director at VP! I guess she brings some easiness and a sense of effortless French style to the brand. I like it,” approved elle_gb.
“I love it, very Vogue Paris,” echoed GERGIN.
“Reminds me way too much of VP, but Liya’s shot looks great,” Benn98 noted.

“Don’t know why but it’s giving me Isabel Marant vibes,” pointed out 333101. “But I’m pleased Liya is part of the cast!”
Forum member vetements also saw some hints of Isabel Marant. “Alberta Ferretti to me is just another pretty clothing brand that is wearable but this campaign is shot so beautifully it actually made me took notice, guess that’s how a successful campaign should be. It also gave me Isabel Marant vibes, I think probably those knee-high boots,” he said.
Perickles also showed Liya some love, writing, “Very nice! I love Liya Kebede’s shots, they look so retro and chic at the same time. Her hair and dark eyes are very intense.”
“Love Liya’s shot,” raved LustforFashion.
