Karl Lagerfeld’s Last Chanel Campaign Gets Rave Reviews

The fashion world is still mourning the loss of Karl Lagerfeld, but with the release of his last Chanel advertising campaign, we can celebrate the designer and photographer (he shot every campaign since 1987) one more time. Snapped right after the Métiers d’Art 2019 show back in December, Lagerfeld took the opportunity to capture models Hyun Ji Shin and Vittoria Ceretti for Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2019 campaign. The two Lagerfeld favorites pose in a dark studio setting, shot against a black backdrop and decked out in the legendary French fashion house’s latest ancient Egyptian-inspired collection.

“This might be the best Chanel campaign in recent seasons. Simple, striking…” pointed out Lola701.

“One of the best of this season,” heralded ivano.

“Hyun looks gorgeous and majestic. It’s one of the best shoots I have seen in the last years by Karl. It’s simple but elegant unlike the Spring 2019 campaign which was just boring,” wrote apple.

In complete agreement was guimon: “As simple as it is, it just… works! Hyun is absolutely flawless, just one in a million. This looks super expensive and beautiful!”

“It’s flawless, expensive-looking and the clothes really speak for themselves,” praised YohjiAddict.

“Great casting. Hyun and Vittoria look amazing, they’re perfect for the campaign,” applauded Morgane07.
