Japan’s usually pretty good to us on the model front, regularly giving covers to Bella Hadid, Naomi Campbell and Shalom Harlow. After her recent solo debut on the cover of American Vogue, Kim Kardashian scores the August 2019 cover of Vogue Japan. Shot by Luigi & Iango and styled by Anna Dello Russo, Kim sports a Chalayan mask and Bulgari jewelry on the eye-catching cover.
Members of our forums were pretty pleased with the outcome. “I love this! Glamorous. Different,” approved MON.
“Definitely the best she’s ever looked in Vogue! Completely in love with this. It’s fantastic how someone finally dared to style Kim in a way she doesn’t usually do, it’s very refreshing to see,” proclaimed aracic.

“This is the best she’s ever looked. Anna did a fantastic job with the styling,” praised caioherrero.
“It’s surprisingly good,” agreed crmsnsnwflks.
“Photoshopped to death and yet I don’t mind it since this is the best she’s ever looked in an editorial. And dare I say, this is one of the most fashion-y, glamorous and out-there editorials of a celebrity I’ve seen in a while. Kim just went for it!” raved dodencebt.
Forum member tigerrouge was also in awe: “There’s something about the shot that reminds me of old Vogue covers. Maybe it’s the mannered way in which people held their hands in those images, combined with the classic jewelry and clean white space.”
