Germany definitely isn’t our go-to fashion magazine. Not even covers starring Hailey Bieber, Toni Garrn along with Nicole Atieno have been enough to excite us. Following Christiane Arp’s departure, we obviously don’t know what to expect from the German fashion bible. Now Edie Campbell covers the April 2021 issue three years after her last appearance. Photographed by Giampaolo Sgura, Edie is captured on location in the Puglia region of Italy wearing a look from Christian Dior’s Spring 2021 collection.
But the cover clearly misses the mark. “Where’s her neck?” wonders slayage.
“It feels like they’ve repositioned or superimposed her head on this image so it fits into the frame of the cover. Her head looks like it should be a little floating animation that bounces about on your screen,” declared tigerrouge.
“How and in what universe is this Edie Campbell? She looks demonic,” mikel points out.

“A total waste of Edie! She ended up looking like Pennywise getting ready to devour you or whoever stares at this cover,” said dmliev.
MON certainly isn’t feeling the outcome: “She looks like Sid from Toy Story.”
MyNameIs isn’t impressed, either. “Vogue Germany constantly uses the ugliest, most amateur-looking fonts on its covers. Is it on purpose? They can’t afford to pay for a professional font?”
“What an unattractive cover,” added an absolutely disappointed liberty33r1b.
“Very unattractive cover indeed and think I’d even go as far as to declare this the worst I’ve ever seen Edie Campbell photograph,” echoed vogue28.
