It’s been seven years since Anna Ewers added her first solo cover of Vogue to her impressive modeling portfolio. It would be an understatement to say that the German bombshell is newsstand gold. Anna’s covers for Vogue Japan, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia and Vogue Germany throughout her remarkable career have enthralled us to no end. So it should come as no surprise to see the German fashion bible welcome back the current face of Isabel Marant for September 2021 marking her sixth Vogue Germany cover appearance. Photographed by Julia Noni and styled by Nicola Knels, Anna poses just before sunrise (appropriate given this month’s shared theme of new beginnings) wearing nothing but a pair of Gucci boots.
Anna’s latest cover divided our forum members, however. “Who doesn’t love the sight of Anna? She looks amazing! Not my favorite of her covers, but I like it,” voiced aracic.
“I really love it. Anna looks fantastic! She really shines,” admired Bombshell1.
“Oh my GOD! Yes, Anna, WORK! The girl is 28 and already is such an icon,” raved dontbeadrag.

“I think the lighting is a bit harsh, but other than that I like it,” commented SLFC.
VogueGirl8910 was also conflicted: “The cover is great, but I don’t like Anna’s pose…ruins the whole image.”
“Always been one for Anna Ewers, but this is quite possibly my least favorite Vogue Germany cover of hers (even over Giampaolo Sgura‘s from 2017). Despite the statement Gucci boots, there’s nothing to be excited about…” stated vogue28.
“Studio photography ‘glued’ to a tacky sunrise backdrop — certainly not my idea of an appealing Vogue cover,” Zorka pointed out.
