perhaps doesn’t receive the recognition it deserves on our forums. But the title’s latest has our undivided attention. Ezra Petronio hands Kate Moss the reins for issue #55 proving less is more while playing the role of guest editor and posing on a pair of covers. Kate enlisted the expertise of her friends and longtime collaborators Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the occasion complete with styling from ex-Vogue Paris editor and firm forum favorite Emmanuelle Alt. In the two black and white cover images, Kate looks effortlessly undone sporting barely-there makeup, natural waves and a simple white T-shirt from Majestic Filatures.
The covers sparked celebration on our forums. “Styled by Emmanuelle Alt. I’m living,” heralded JPineapple.
“Styled by Emmanuelle Alt and I can hear her laughing off all these morons from Condé Nast right now,” said helmutnotdead.

“Kate Moss by Mert & Marcus will always be a hit in my book! Spectacular covers, as can be expected. And it’s so good to already see Alt in magazines again! You go girl, show them how it’s done,” raved aracic.
“A wonderful surprise to see Emmanuelle Alt styling for Self Service! This is a total must-have and the two covers give me more than what most Vogue covers have this month,” proclaimed vogue28.
In the same frame of mind was dontbeadrag: “Kate by M&M never goes wrong, ever.”
“Kate in a white tee is all I need,” approved A.D.C.
“Love the hair and the simplicity…” admired Xone.
