Ksenia Solovieva continues to push Vogue Russia in the right direction. Following last month’s triumphant multi-model cover, Jill Kortleve makes her debut on the Russian fashion bible. The Dutch beauty and current face of Chanel Eyewear racks up her ninth Vogue cover appearance for November 2021. Captured by Sonia Szóstak and styled by Katerina Zolototrubova, Jill poses nude for the dynamic cover images with a strategically-placed black feathered coat for cover number one (below) and holds a jewel-encrusted heart to her chest on cover number two (after the jump).
The covers divided our forums. “Shot in a H&M fitting room,” mocked Horizontina the moment the covers dropped.
“These covers look like fitting photos from a modeling agency,” VogueGirl8910 pointed out.
“She always seems to be pictured with the same hairstyle, which makes her appear less like a professional model with range and more like someone from Instagram who has found a successful niche. Please can we have a change of styling or a hairpiece or something else…” voiced tigerrouge.

“Jill looks exactly the same in everything she does… The lighting on both pictures is so amateur, wow,” proclaimed dontbeadrag.
Phuel definitely disapproved: “Jill’s naturally smoldering…and these covers capture none of that.”
“I’m not particularly loving these, but I do appreciate the sight of stretch marks on a Vogue cover,” wrote aracic.
But vogue28 clearly disagreed. “Amazed at how much I love this, what another brilliant cover from Vogue Russia! The photography is great, love the coloring, can appreciate the lack of post-production and how the first cover instantly reminded me of when Natalia Vodianova posed nude on British Vogue‘s June 2009 cover.”
