Stephen Gan continues to make sure V Magazine stays on our radar. Throughout 2021, buzzworthy covers starring Imaan Hammam, Abby Champion, Olivia Rodrigo and Madonna enthralled us to no end. Now the publication gives us Gigi Hadid for the title’s first offering of the year. A V Magazine regular, Gigi poses for a pair of dynamic covers styled by George Cortina and photographed by Mario Sorrenti. For cover one (below), the current face of Moschino takes a leap of faith on the trapeze captured midair in black and white for dramatic effect. Cover number two (after the jump) sees Gigi serving face in the close-up shot.
“I quite like this. Gigi looks good and points for originality,” approved KINGofVERSAILLES.
AlbertNoir shared the same sentiment: “Incredibly surprised by this…love it.”
“Finally some good work, I think she’s back,” declared miyawaki.

“The whole trapeze concept does zilch for me, but the second cover is utterly gorgeous and far outshines the first. Always been a Gigi Hadid fan and the shoot feels original and is quite refreshing in terms of what we’ve seen previously from V Magazine and Gigi,” voiced vogue28.
Although not everyone was impressed. “For an expensive production, not much going on here,” wrote Horizontina.
“I like the idea of this, but it’s a stupid idea for a shoot if you’re not going to put any effort into the outfits,” critiqued Serend1pity.
“Gigi showing off her new trapeze skills is just not interesting enough to carry a shoot,” Phuel chimed in.
