We’ve been extremely critical of Vogue Italia recently. That’s largely due to the fact that covers with Coco Rebecca, Veronica Yoko Plebani and Chiara Ferragni simply haven’t cut it. Although, the magazine hit a home run with a Lady Gaga cover back in November. Now the publication appears to have scored again as the Italian fashion bible taps the ultimate Italian fashion icon Donatella Versace for March 2022. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Jacob K, the 66-year-old designer dons head-to-toe latex for the cover image captured at Versace’s Milan headquarters.
“Compared to their recent cover history, I’m loving this!” declared justaguy.
“In an age of struggling magazines and fashion spiraling in a gazillion directions, this cover featuring an iconic designer from a legendary house is making me smile,” admitted Velasco.
“I love it! Finally some FASHION!” said kokobombon.

“Love it! Now this is Vogue Italia,” Urban Stylin pointed out.
FashionMuseDior shared the same sentiment: “I absolutely adore this. I want to buy it just because of Donatella.”
“This one is a must-have! Love the glamour of it and the styling and I particularly love the thought of Donatella Versace on the cover of Vogue! All the right elements, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott luckily brought out their good aesthetic for this,” raved aracic.
“A sight for sore eyes… A real thrill to see an actual Italian icon like Donatella on the cover of an Italian fashion title and just feels like an added bonus that Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott captured Donatella so perfectly!” exclaimed vogue28.
