WSJ. Magazine remains the gift that keeps on giving. Make no mistake that the magazine surpasses each and every mainstream fashion title currently on display down at your local newsstand, especially when covers featuring the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Linda Evangelista are thrown our way. The magazine’s content is just as superior as their covers, and one of the publication’s fashion stories from the October 2023 issue has caught the attention of our forum members. Give it up for Raquel Zimmermann posing for Ethan James Green, decked out in this season’s fashion by stylist Charlotte Collet for a story inspired by 90s rave culture. In the opening shot of the editorial (below), the Brazilian beauty and firm forum fave can be found working a mashup of Hermès and Isabel Marant and flashes of electric blue running through her long blonde hair.
The end result went down an absolute treat with members of our forums. “IN LOVE! So much early 00s US Vogue vibes that I’m dying over,” raved kokobombon.
“The whole editorial reminds me of a very bare bones of ‘Rock the House‘ by Steven Meisel from US Vogue December 1999. I guess it was on the moodboard?” asked WinstonH20.
“Apparently EJG had the ‘Skin on Skin‘ editorial on his mood board too,” chimed in thiago.
“I’m someone who wants OTT glamour 99.9% of the time but I am 100% here for this, and just like everyone else, I’m transported back to the glory days of American Vogue. Ethan James Green doing his best Steven Meisel impersonation will always be a win-win with me, and when you throw in Raquel Zimmerman… it’s love at first sight,” vogue28 enthused.
“Raquel is an incredible model, even though she’s not that good as a cover girl, this one worked… I like it!” DK92 approved.
Bertrando3 was also very much a fan, commenting: “LOOOOOOVE RAQUEL! She looks… WOW! I love the cover, great hair and makeup too.”
