The Arabian fashion titles are having a moment right now, and we’re 100% here for it. First came Yasmin Warsame rocking Saint Laurent across a duo of dynamic Marie Claire Arabia covers. Now, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia comes in hot with Adriana Lima as their latest cover star. Glamour is always a good idea, and the Arabian fashion title received the memo loud and clear when it came to shooting their December 2023 cover story. Photographer Mattia Guolo and stylist Anna Castan teamed up to profile the Brazilian model for the occasion, who against a sleek grey studio backdrop, wears Roberto Cavalli and a hat from Bonfilio Hats by Pasquale Bonfilio in the regal cover image which oozes elegance, grace and old-school glamour.

“We’re supposed to believe that’s Adriana Lima?” asked blueorchid.
“This looks like an essential fashion image conjured by any most basic fashion student with a pencil, sitting bored in class. The barely dramatic hat, the elegant black and white combination, throw in some diamonds and lace, fake big pouty lips and big eyeliner. It’s almost comical,” disapproved aracic.
MModa wasn’t best impressed either, writing: “The cover photograph looks nothing like Adriana Lima. I am shocked! Why hire a successful and well-know model and turn her into a completely unrecognizable person?”
“I’m ALWAYS down for some highly-polished glamour when it comes to fashion magazine covers, but this is leaning more toward AI-level of fashion imagery, as opposed to something… natural. The post-production is off the scale and is extremely off-putting,” said vogue28.
“This screams America’s Next Top Model. So cheesy,” forum member phungnam96 exclaimed.
