Nicholas Ghesquière continues to entrust Ethan James Green with his vision at Louis Vuitton, commissioning the photographer on the regular to shoot the storied French fashion house’s numerous advertising campaigns. It started back in early 2022, when the American photographer captured HoYoen Jung for the brand’s Twist handbag campaign and assignments since have included profiling the likes of Deepika Padukone, Naomi Osaka and Léa Seydoux for an array of Vuitton fashion spots. Green is back once again to capture a fresh batch of LV ambassadors and friends of the house, this time for the LV Remix campaign and photographing Phoebe Dynevor, Ouyang Nana, Lous and the Yaukza and Shay Mitchell, who each pose against a brightly-lit and flashy backdrop throughout the Y2K-inspired campaign.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Not half bad, for a Sketchers campaign,” laughed KoV the moment the campaign struck.
“Photographed by Midjourney,” chimed in an unamused avonlea002.
Urban Stylin wasn’t completely on the end result either, pointing out: “This looks like what you would find in a pre-teen magazine in the 2000s!”
“What was the point of booking Ethan James Green for this?” asked tFS forum member upNorth.
Not everyone, however, was in the same frame of mind. “Admittedly not the most superior campaign imagery I’ve seen from Louis Vuitton. However, I do believe the whole mood of the campaign echoes the vibe of the collection perfectly. The whole setting feels like early 00s music videos and I’m able to appreciate a fresh batch of LV brand ambassadors here, as opposed to the usual suspects…” reasoned vogue28.
