As creative director of Ferragamo, Maximilian Davis continues to experiment with various different photographers to further enhance his vision for the luxury Italian fashion house. Campaigns since his debut Spring 2023 collection have been lensed by Jackie Nickerson, Rafael Pavarotti, Tyler Mitchell and Davis reverted back to Pavarotti for Holiday 2023. Vanina Sorrenti is commissioned for the Spring 2024 season and gone is the multi-girl casting in favor of a solo Natalia Vodianova. Captured around interiors adorned with mid-century furniture, parquet flooring and plush carpet, Natalia (who is already the face of Ermanno Scervino) is styled by Carlos Nazario throughout the artistic and stylized campaign.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot forum members:
“I am completely unconvinced by Maximilian’s Ferragamo. It has no personality and no conviction. It’s very corporate and predictable,” voiced lookatme.
“It reminds me of the Prada Spring 2016 campaign, except this is the fast fashion version. Is anyone actually buying that bag?” asked GivenchyHomme.
Also not sold was Lola701, commenting: “Natalia is bad casting, IMO! I would have picked Karen Elson or Liya Kebede.”
“Natalia is certainly the weak link here, otherwise the campaign is quite stunning. Moody and rich with color, that shot with the green bag is beautiful! I feel like Rianne would’ve been a perfect fit for this,” noted aracic.
“I love the rich textures and saturation,” admired forum member kokobombon.
Echoing the same sentiments was MModa: “Love the colors, atmosphere, mood, lighting and shadows!”
