Since being installed at the top job at Vogue Italia, Francesca Ragazzi seems to have found the perfect balance when it comes to handpicking Vogue Italia’s cover stars. Models appear to the be at the forefront when it comes to Ragazzi’s selections. Most recently, Anna Ewers and Liya Kebede have made appearances whilst last month’s cover celebrated the new generation of Italian fashion models. Nevertheless, the odd actress makes an appearance on the Italian fashion mag’s front cover and up next is: Taylor Russell. The Canadian actress and firm fave of Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson holds a sleeveless coat from Christian Dior’s Spring 2024 collection up close to her naked body in the minimalist black and white cover image, as she poses before the lens of photographer Paolo Roversi.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I like how clean it is, although it’s almost literal, with that ‘you just caught me getting out of the shower’ look,” immediately voiced tigerrouge.
“It’s very safe, not bad, but very safe,” kokobombon added.
Also not exactly bawled over with the outcome was WAVES: “It’s a safe black and white cover. Nothing too exciting even if she does look good. However, the hair bothers me!”
“Roversi has lost his spark. The cover is not as strong as it could be. Not liking the wig, but Taylor Russell looks fantastic. Go Taylor!” championed TerraVera.
“Love the cover, reminds me of 90s Naomi but without the personality,” Urban Stylin pointed out.
“The cover is beautiful, I love the monochromatic theme, the photography and font. It’s kind of ethereal,” admired tFS forum member philophile.
“I’m able to appreciate the minimalism, even more so after the eyesore of that awkward February cover with the next generation of Italian models. This cover image isn’t exactly anything groundbreaking, but it’s easy enough on the eye that I am simply unable to criticize it,” commented vogue28.
