The European editions of Harper’s Bazaar are killing it. Along with France and Italia, Harper’s Bazaar Spain has been on a winning streak. Covers with Sharon Stone and Jessica Chastain have ultimately impressed us to no end lately, and the magazine continues to show no signs of letting standards slip. Editor Inma Jimenez Mateos invites Sydney Sweeney as April 2024 cover star, who is splashed across a total of three covers for the occasion. Via the lens of photographer David Roemer and with Elizabeth Sulcer reporting for styling duties, the Australian actress and Kerastasé brand ambassador is dressed in a trio of new season looks from major Italian fashion labels Prada, Giorgio Armani and Miu Miu.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“The first cover has a touch of Liz Tilberis’ Harper’s Bazaar. The second, the Kate Betts era. The third… wasn’t there another photo or cover somewhere that featured a model in a similar pose/styling/setting recently?” asked iriswills.
Xone replied: “The third cover looks like a copy from Vogue Italia with Anna Ewers. Weird.”
“Also noticed the blatant copy of Vogue Italia November 2023, which wasn’t exactly worthy of being replicated,” vogue28 chimed in. “Nevertheless, I’m into this and find that third cover to be much better than Italian Vogue. The art direction is fantastic on the first cover. Love the fonts and how it doesn’t overpower the cover yet makes a real statement.”
Mikel shared: “Love the first cover. Feels very 90s.”
“The first cover is cute. The other two are unnecessary,” voiced WAVES.
