Karim Sadli’s photography has become synonymous with Chanel. As creative director of the fabled French fashion house, Virginie Viard has enlisted the Paris-based photographer to capture various Chanel campaign imagery. Sadli was tasked with photographing the Fall 2019 campaign (the late Karl Lagerfeld’s last collection) and has subsequently went on the capture models-of-the-moment for Cruise 2020 and Lily-Rose Depp for Cruise 2021 (to only name a few). After shooting last year’s eyewear campaign offering, the Harper’s Bazaar France regular is back for the 2024 installment, shooting models Loli Bahia, Liu Wen, Alaato Jazyper and América González against a sleek white backdrop for a series of classic and sharp portraits, selling Chanel’s latest 70s and 80s-inspired frames like there’s no tomorrow.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I love Alaato’s photo,” exclaimed Ihhbl the moment the campaign struck.
“I like Loli’s black and white pics,” chrisand489 chimed in.
Also very much a fan of the outcome was vogue28: “Always adored Karim Sadli’s eyewear campaigns for Chanel. This is no exception. Sadli’s simplicity always works wonders for a brand like Chanel, and his photography style always feels like a breath of fresh air. The casting is superb. Alaato Jazyper serving Grace Jones in James Bond’s A View to a Kill is everything!”
