The British royals splashed across the cover of Vanity Fair is common practice. Throughout time, the Condé Nast title has profiled the likes of Princess Anne, the late Princess Diana and the late Queen Elizabeth II (to name a select few) and loves themselves a good Catherine, Princess of Wales cover. Vanity Fair‘s current editor-in-chief Radhika Jones is profiling the much-loved member of the British royal family, with the unveiling of the magazine’s double July/August edition to see us through the summer season. To commemorate the occasion, Jones opted to use a stock image for the cover, selecting a shot captured by Getty Images’ royal photographer Chris Jackson of the Princess of Wales attending the annual Commonwealth Service in March 2023.

“It is a good stock photo of Catherine, Princess of Wales. Obviously, Vanity Fair could not get a new photo shoot for the cover story so I think they did their best. The cover looks appealing. I like the rich color palette of black, navy, and gold,” reasoned forum member MModa.
“Honestly, it’s not the worst cover made from a paparazzo shot. I like the layout, it looks classy,” added Srdjan.
