Over recent months, Anna Wintour has been on a little bit of a mission to welcome back old favorites onto the cover of Vogue. After all, the likes of Jill Biden, Kendall Jenner and Zendaya have each made a return to the American fashion bible’s front covers over recent months, with Blake Lively the latest. That’s right, Wintour invites the actress back for a fourth time, with the unveiling of the all-important September edition for 2024. Wintour insisted on Australian film director (and friend) Baz Luhrmann profiling Lively for her latest Vogue cover shoot, with Hugh Jackman getting in on the action too for a “Hitchcock-inspired fashion fantasia”. Styled by Tonne Goodman, Blake sports a voluminous up-do in the portrait cover shot, clutching a Cartier diamond necklace and dressed in a black dress from the Fall 2024 Michael Kors collection.

“I really don’t get the Blake-Hugh-Baz link up? It’s so random. It almost feels like it was supposed to be Nicole Kidman but she bailed out on the last minute so they had to book someone else,” laughed Marc10.

Not everyone, however, was left so underwhelmed. “love all the glamour, elegance, and the hair! The cover photographs take me back in time, especially, the pages of American Vogue in the 1960’s. I particularly love the profile shot of Lively the most,” MModa enthused.
