Trina Turk
Founder and designer of Trina Turk
“In my bag I have a Trina Turk beach towel, architectural magazines like Elle Décor and fashion magazines, oversized sunglasses (my current favorite sunnies are Karen Walker, but ask me a few months from now and I may be on to the next thing), Neutrogena SPF 45 Sunscreen with Helioplex, a big floppy hat (you can never be too protected from the sun), Reusable Sigg water bottle, iPhone in a Trina Turk case, metallic Trina Turk Vagabond sandals, Celine red wallet… I like it for the red color and have had it for about 2-3 years.”

Camila Ckless
Designer of Guria Beachwear
“When I head to the beach, I always carry my Guria Beachwear tote, it easily fits everything I need and want to bring. This year, it's stocked with Michael Kors sunnies, a fedora, a Guria bikini, a book from one of my favorite writers, Jackie Collins, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen for both face and body, and Australia Gold Moisture Lock Tan Extender to apply after I leave the beach. A few pieces I always carry that are a nod to my hometown of Brazil — a sarong and coconut water. Brazilians traditionally lay down a sarong instead of a towel; it is less bulky and dries much faster. For staying hydrated, I always bring Vita Coco. In Brazil, we drink it from a real coconut, but since most of the beaches here don't sell whole coconuts, this is the best alternative."

Corina Biton
President of BloqUV
“I live in Miami so my Bohemian Love beach bag is always with me and has all of my beach essentials! I love the Bohemian Love line because all of their bags are handmade and it is apparent a lot of time and care goes into each one. Wherever I go, I always carry a piece from BloqUV, my collection of sun protective apparel which blocks out 98% of the sun’s harmful rays. When I go to the beach I like to bring the 24/7. With BloqUV I only have to put sunscreen on the areas that are exposed to the sun. I also bring with me a pair of my favorite Maui Jim sunglasses, a Laura Mercier lip gloss, a Physician Endorsed sun hat, sunscreen, the current issue of InStyle and an apple to snack on!”

"I live on the West coast, but my monogrammed L.L. Bean beach tote reminds me of my summers spent in Maine. Inside you'll find Coola sunscreen, a Kushcush swimsuit of course, Evian mist for hot days, Sud Pacifique Vanille Coco spray, my sketchbook, Matchbox cars for my son Jax and California Baby Hair De-tangler. I'm also obsessed with multi-taskers like the Next Issue iPad app, printed Kushcush scarves which double as coverups and my Miu Miu crossbody purse so I can easily downsize from beach to lunch."

“I have my new Celine Tortoise Aviator Sunglasses, Melissa Odbash Bikini in blue and white zig zag, a Glamourpuss Bond Girl Sun Essential top for Boogie Boarding and then wearing for lunch, gold sandals and a necklace to dress things up, a large beach towel from Serena and Lily, a Petal Power bag to hold my iPhone, wallet, Cle de peau lip gloss in Sheer Pink, Cle de Peau Luminizing Face Enhancer and Zbloc sunscreen which all the sailors use in Newport because they are on the water all day and it has amazing staying power and doesn't cause breakouts. For my body, I use Sun Bum Beach Block. I like a little tan and I love the smell; really makes me think vacation. I also have a beach hat and something to read. I just started the wonderfully written and hysterical book The Charleston Academy of Domestic Pursuits by Suzanne Pollak and Lee Manigault. It is informative, tongue-in-cheek, put-a-smile-on-your-face fun!”

Creative director of OndadeMar
“I love my OndadeMar tote; it's lightweight and I can carry a lot of things in it... I am a huge fan of big bags!! I cannot leave my house without my pocket knife, Tiger Balm and Tide To Go. Of course, I’m never without the essentials... both of my glasses, iPhone, wallet and keys. As I am always in a rush, the sunscreen and the makeup bag must come with me everywhere. The moleskin notebook, one black pen, one color pen and an erasable highlighter are super handy to write and draw my ideas at any moment."

"Beach days are the best days! Living in Laguna Beach, you have to have a bag in your car at all times. You never know! I always bring my necessities...my fave Lolli swimmie and beach blanky, coco water, always SPF and Chapstick, too. A must is Monoi Oil—smells so yummy and is great for after sun, before sun or even in your hair."

Angela O’Brien
Owner of Cleobella
“I’m always trying our new products — lately I’ve been carrying our Moroccan weekender made out of vintage Kilim fabric. I love it! I also always carry our Mexicana hand-tooled wallet, which is great because it holds everything and doubles as a clutch in a pinch. We made this brown fringe leather jacket a few season ago and I still wear it to this day; it’s unlined so it folds up and fits perfectly in any tote—plus, what girl doesn’t love a little fringe? Beach Riot is a fantastic swimwear line owned by my girlfriend Nicole, they’ve just launched sunglasses so I’ve been sporting these round tortoiseshell shades lately. Lanolips is a natural makeup line, plus this balm has SPF in it which is perfect for these sunny summer days! Lastly, my son is obsessed with Ironman so I always need some action figures in my purse to keep him happy!”

The colors are vibrant and, most importantly, it's sand-repellent, the perfect beach essential! Here you will also find the beach basics including a baseball cap, my favorite sunglasses from Garrett Leight and Bose headphones, so I can groove to tropical tunes while I enjoy a glass of rosé."

"This is my favorite beach bag that I got at a little boutique in Byron Bay Australia. My beach essentials always include Supergoop sunscreen, paw paw moisturizer and my Simple Ben surf fin key for my board. I never go to the beach without a hat. Right now we are working on a collaboration with Gigi Burris, so I plan on having my Gigi Burris for Basta Surf hat on all summer along with my Basta bikini, of course! I tend to keep a journal/sketchbook with me at all times, this one I picked up in Sri Lanka. And sunglasses...you can never have too many!"
