With online discounts starting as early as last Monday (and continued discounts to come), the lure of brick-and-mortar shopping is low. Holiday windows do, however, offer an incentive to ditch the plate of leftovers and pajamas and brave the crowds. Plus, window shopping is one of the few fun, fashion-related things you can actually do for free. This year, the dazzling displays include lots of bright lights, enchanting forests, oversized Santa Claus figures and even a series of cotton candy-inspired bespoke dresses from designers like Marchesa and Jason Wu (these are department store windows after all). Here’s a look at all of the rainbow-colored, bright holiday window displays you won’t want to miss this season.

Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks Fifth Avenue's "Land of 1000 Delights" is filled with bright lights, oversized lollipops, cotton candy and rock candy, as well as animated displays called "The Nutcracker Sweet." The most impressive part, however, are the one-of-a-kind cotton candy-inspired dresses by Erdem, Carolina Herrera, Marchesa and Jason Wu.

Bloomingdale's
Light inspired the holiday windows at Bloomingdale's. The department store partnered with visual artists and asked each one to create a one-of-a-kind chandelier based on their interpretation of the word "light." Throughout the holiday season, the chandeliers will be up for auction on Charitybuzz and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Child Mind Institute.
