A palette of red, black, and white in futuristic fabrications was the main theme of the Nicole Farhi 2011 Fall Collection. The silhouettes were loose fitting and had a masculine inspiration seen in the suits and tuxedo inspired pieces. The overall look was sleek and sophisticated for the elegant woman. Pieces were mostly shown in monochromatic tones and contrasting fabrications.
Occasionally, beading was added to create a slight glam factor to a piece without being flamboyant. Proportions were very modern and fresh, including a kimono sleeve jacket and voluminous trouser pants and skirts.
Overall the silhouettes were simple but the fabrications and proportional twists added interest. Farhi continues to take risks as a designer which keeps her line interesting and youthful.
