A cup of coffee changed Jessica Stam’s life.
Recently listed in Forbes Magazine as the fifteenth top earning supermodel in the world, Stam (as she is referred to in the fashion world) never wanted to model. She was born April 10th, 1986 in the small town of Kincardine, Ontario, and originally wanted to be a dentist. Being the only girl with six brothers, Stam was very active and played lots of sports as a kid. Her family was very religious, and she was raised as a devout Christian.
Soon, Stam appeared everywhere. Her first major magazine cover was on Vogue Italia in September 2003 (her first of six). Since then, she has also appeared on the covers of UK, German, US and Japan, as well as covers for iD, Numéro, Fashion, and Pop.
Marc Jacobs recently named a bag after her, the Marc Jacobs Stam.
She can currently be seen in ad campaigns for Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.
