It seems no one is quite as excited about the neon trend as Nanette Lepore. The designer, who is known for her feminine cuts and easy-to-wear separates, went rainbow bright for spring with yellow, orange, pink, and blue paving the runway. While the highlighter hued yellows might be difficult for the average woman to pull off, the other shades were often just shy of garish making them kitschy without being unsalable.
Standout looks included a multi-striped v-neck dress that paired a tea-length skirt with shocking pink and blue fabric. Neon may be one of the more tired trends of the season, but it’s not hard to see this collection doing very well in the younger market. Just look at Lepore’s daughter Violet who took a bow in the collection looking young and fresh.
