Yael Kanter: Celebrity Stylist and Fashionista

If I had to pick someone to be my BFF, it would totally be Yael Kanter. I don’t know if she is in the market for a new BFF, but I would love to spend even an afternoon with her. I mean my clothes would always be on point and I’d probably get first dibs on vintage couture. If you don’t know Yael, you need to get familiar, not only is she a beauty, but she’s got her hands in so many things.

Once she graduated from Western University, she started working with her mother, the one and only Lynda Latner at her e-commerce vintage clothing boutique, Vintagecouture.com. The boutique launched in 1998 and was a hit since the first day that it launched. Tons of celebrities and fashionistas have shopped at the Vintage Couture private showroom, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Michelle Williams, Rachel McAdams and Linda Evangelista, to name a few. Yael has been busy these past five years, working as a stylist for celebrities and musicians; she is in high demand yet never misses a beat.

She has even worked with plenty of top fashion magazines. You might have also seen her featured in Plaid Magazine, Wedluxe, Chatelaine, The National Post, and listed on the Toronto Star Best Dressed List. Wouldn’t you want her as your BFF? She also runs her own popular fashion blog called RantingsOfaShopaholic.com

As if that weren’t enough already, Yael also resides as Editor In Chief of BeTrendMe, a trends blog that focuses on the teen and young adult market. What’s even cooler is she works on this blog with her husband, musical director/producer/guitarist Dan Kanter. An adorable couple, I gushed when I heard that Yael even dressed him for The Grammys, Saturday Night Live, Oprah, American Idol, and the American Music Awards.

Go check her out and see why I want her to be my BFF!
