The fact that Massimo Dutti is the big brother of clothing retailer Zara is hard to miss. The new store is crammed with preppy tailoring, chunky knits, and work-appropriate handbags (read: they’re big enough to fit an iPad and a small makeup counter), albeit at a slightly higher price point than Zara. Are the extra dollars worth it? Absolutely, since I’m told that every minor trim is leather, the knits are 100% wool, and the angora is buttery soft.
Choice pieces include the burgundy moccasins with tassels ($148), the tailored pique blazers, and cable knit capes with buckle ($135).
