With but a few exceptions, silhouettes were tailored to be relaxed for an overarching sportswear feel and most looks were monochrome with Giannini relying on oversized ruffles (many of which echoed Lanvin and Yves Saint Laurent), bell sleeves, and collar embellishments for visual interest. The bell sleeves in particular, combined with swirling prints, plunging v-shape necklines, belted outerwear and tops, and bell bottoms gave a seventies feel to a number of the looks, while a handful of animal skin prints tied into one of the season’s most notable trends thus far.
