Shown this season in Milan rather than in New York, there was a dowdiness to many of the looks with their layers of chantilly lace and sheer fabrics. Similarly, crystal embroidered separates, bra tops, and lace sleeve tops fell flat holding neither wearable appeal nor proving to be anything a fashion-forward woman would look particularly good wearing. More success was found in the clean-lined hot pink cocktail dresses and the outerwear, particularly a yellow lined white swing coat, but they didn’t prove satisfying enough to not leave most Ports 1961 fans longing for Tia’s return.
