The strong showing opened with structured silhouettes in tweed. A rich gray color palette gave way to cobalt blue, bronze, mustard, emerald and red before flowing into a few final black looks. Predominantly gray or black looks were punctuated with red elbow-length gloves or bright metallic accessories. There were only two pairs of pants. Strong, old-screen-siren silhouettes featured voluminous skirts over slouchy knit knee socks in almost every look.
Beautiful sumptuous layers were piled on without overwhelming or becoming bulky like a rich brown fur stole over a soft-looking gray knit with a crisp white blouse peeking out over a fluttering silk skirt in one of the the collection’s only prints, a large gray floral. This relaxed silhouette was just as chic as the more structured ones that dominated the presentation. Cibani has stepped up her game since moving the show to Milan, and definitely focused more on the consumer. There were so many beautiful, wearable pieces in this collection I hope that buyers are filling their stores with it.
