London Fashion Week: Emerging Designers Bubbling Up
-
Fashion Socut: The Swedish School of Textiles
One of our favourites was the Fashion Scout initiative that’s one of the UK’s largest showcases for emerging and leading design talent. It’s been running for fourteen seasons and is often frequented by fashion industry insiders trying to discover the next big designer. We went along to the Swedish School of Textiles’ Graduate Catwalk show, which was filled with innovative ideas. Including clothing for both men and women, and the show was one of the most creative that we’ve seen all season. Memorable pieces include gigantic puffer jackets for men and backless dresses for women.

Kilian Kerner: London Fashion Week Virgin
We’ve reviewed German Designer Kilian Kerner’s work before when he heard that he was one of the coolest German Designers around and launching a range in UK-based department stores. So, upon hearing that he was holding a presentation at the Hilton Waldorf for his first-ever London Fashion Week, we had to go along to check it out.

The presentation took place in one of the majestic ballrooms and the focal point of the room was an amazing fairytale-esque gown consisting of an exaggerated puff ball bottom and striking golden Great Gatsby patterned top. Stunning embellishment was key, and it was an elegant collection fit for the red carpet. We’re hoping to see a lot more from this Berlin born designer.
