The Scene: Shown in a Hell’s Kitchen gallery, Lam attracted all the expected top editors and buyers.
The Inspiration: Strong, urban and ethnic-inspired with an emphasis on texture.
The Look: Oversized silhouettes, outerwear and tops with molded shoulders, clean-lined turtlenecks, cropped jackets, loose cashmere sweaters, below-the-knee skirts, textured knits, colorblocked pencil skirts, slit dresses and wide-leg pants. Color-wise, the collection offered everything from winter whites and black to bold colors and patchwork, though most every look was monochrome.
The Accessories: Slouchy below-the-knee boots, booties with cut-outs and geometric heels and patchworked or textured clutches with roll-over tops.
The Beauty: Clean face, a strong smoky eye using dark ivy shadow and a beautiful lip created using Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Insatiable Ivory and Intense Nude. Hair was parted in the middle and stiffly pulled back.
The Takeaway: Plenty of cozy looks for next year’s frigid weather along with skin-baring eveningwear.
