Strateas.Carlucci
Next up came a sombre antidote to the flurry of colour seen at Aurelio Costarella. On the heels of their recent Tiffany & Co. National Designer Award win during the Melbourne Fashion Festival, Strateas.Carlucci presented their very first show at MBFWA despite having showing at Paris Fashion Week four times previously (alongside the “big boys,” as the designers put it). Their upcoming collection ‘Fracture’ is based on minimal tailoring and is centred around construction of disjointed forms with a utilitarian vibe. Stay tuned for peaked-tip collars, aviator-meets-biker jackets and fuzzily textured knits for men and women.
